  1. How do we prepare our technicians for the written test?
The technician should study the material in the study guide. The study guide outlines the material the technician should know.
  2. How many technicians can take the test at the same time?
Up to 12 technicians per Proctor.
  3. What if someone cannot read the test?
The Proctor can read the test or monitor the reading process.
  4. What type of facility do I need?
To administer the written test, you will need a room that allows one vacant space between each of the testing candidates. To conduct the welding portion of the test, you will need a warehouse with access to the necessary electricity and enough room to allow the technicians to weld the geomembranes.
  5. How do I locate a Proctor?
IAGI maintains a list of approved proctors. Also, there is a provision that allows a company to locate a local trade school teacher who would be willing to act as the Proctor. They will need to complete the Proctor Application and attend a training session.
  6. What liner material is required for hands on portion?
Contact the IAGI office for an updated list.
  7. What does the Proctor do?
The Proctor orders and pays for written test materials, brings the written materials to the testing site, and gathers resumes and photo identification before the test begins. The Proctor monitors the program and is present during the entire testing. After the testing is complete, the Proctor returns the written tests to the IAGI office and sends the hands on portion to the approved third party testing laboratory.
  8. What should I do with the Test Candidate Application for Certification Form?
Complete a separate form for each test candidate and forward the application to the Proctor. The proctor should submit with their order form.
  9. How long will it take to get test results?
You can expect results back in six to eight weeks depending upon the time needed for test results to be returned and grading to be finished. All graded tests are reviewed for accuracy.
